Amp-Hour

Shop software for plating and anodizing job shops.

Amp-Hour prints the traveler, logs the run, keeps tank chemistry in spec and issues the certificate of compliance at shipment. Quotes, invoicing, A/R and the wastewater log are in the same database, so the records a Nadcap or AS9100 auditor asks for exist because you ran the job.

No card needed. The trial opens on a sample shop with 13 tanks, 9 open jobs and real routings, so you see travelers and tank sheets in the first minute.

Printed job traveler for job 50008: shop header with Code 39 barcode, customer, part, process and specification fields, material caution, and the operations table with tank, operating window and write-in cells for each step.
Printed traveler, job 50008, hardcoat anodize per MIL-PRF-8625 Type III Class 1, 0.0018–0.0022 in on 7075-T73. Sample shop.

Amp-Hour is for job shops of roughly 5 to 80 people doing anodize (Type II, Type III hardcoat, chromic), zinc and zinc-nickel, electroless and sulfamate nickel, chromate conversion per MIL-DTL-5541, passivation, e-coat and powder, on customer-owned parts. Shops that hold or are working toward Nadcap, AS9100 or ISO 9001, and every shop that reports to a POTW under 40 CFR 433.

The job record, start to finish.

The traveler is the record.

Each process carries its routing: tank, time, temperature, current density and the maximum delay before the next step. Receiving a job copies it. The printed traveler has a Code 39 barcode for the job and each operation; the operator scans, records tank, amps and time, and anything outside the window is logged as a deviation. 7075 gets the shorter deox automatically.

Job 50008 page: job information, the routing with seven operations showing tank and operating window for each, and the job costing and labor panels.

Tank chemistry with the arithmetic done.

Enter the titration and Amp-Hour compares it to min, target and max and computes the addition from tank volume: nickel at 72.986 g/L against a 76 g/L target in 400 gal is 6.7 gal of NI-SULF, issued from inventory when you post it. Brightener is replenished from amp-hours. Each parameter has an individuals chart with Western Electric rules and Cpk.

Tank T-NI-S page: status strip, a recommended addition of 6.7 gal NI-SULF for nickel at 72.986 g/L against a 76 g/L target, and the control parameters table with min, target, max and trend for each parameter.

The cert writes itself at shipment.

Specification, thickness readings with the gauge and its calibration date, operations run and who signed. QC cannot sign off a step that requires readings until they are entered. Rejects carry reason codes; strip and replate creates a linked rework job; NCRs and CAPAs, lab tests, the training matrix and controlled documents live beside the jobs they refer to. Customers download certs, packing slips and invoices from their portal.

Certificate of compliance for job 50006: thickness requirement 50–100 µin with five readings and a CONFORMS result, the gauge and its calibration dates, operations performed with who completed them, and the signature block.

Wastewater and hazardous waste the way the inspector reads them.

Discharge samples are checked against your permit limits (40 CFR 433 as the baseline), containers sit on the 90- or 180-day accumulation clock, manifests show which signed copies have not come back, and permit renewal and report dates are tracked. The SDS library is one list of chemicals with the sheet attached.

Compliance page: status strip with samples, exceedances, containers on the clock, manifests awaiting a signed copy and deadlines; the 30-day effluent pH chart; permit and report deadlines; and containers on the accumulation clock with days elapsed.

Pricing

Prices are per shop per month in US dollars. Every plan has every module, unlimited jobs and customers, the customer portal and updates. Billed monthly by card; cancel from Settings > Billing at any time.

A staff login is a person who signs in and is not a customer-portal user; portal logins are free. The shop-floor terminal and the time-clock kiosk run under one logged-in staff account, and badge punches do not need their own login. 14-day trial on any plan.

Switching from METFIN, E2 or spreadsheets

Settings > Data has CSV templates for customers, parts, vendors, inventory items, materials, processes, tanks, racks, trainings and permits. It does not import historical jobs, posted GL or old certs; open jobs and A/R balances are entered by hand or with us during onboarding, and most shops start the new system at a month boundary and keep the old one readable for the retention period.

METFIN and IBMS are marks of Compex Integrated Systems. E2 and JobBOSS are marks of their owners. Amp-Hour is an independent product and is not affiliated with any of them.

Or run it on a PC in the office

The same software runs on one Windows, Linux or Mac PC on the shop network. One Node process, one SQLite file, no internet connection and no third-party packages to install. The first visit creates the administrator and the shop; phones reach it over the shop Wi-Fi; backups are one folder.
